Created in 2005 by Tokyo Farm founder Spencer Cross, KERNSPIRACY is a unique effort to foster community and camaraderie among Los Angeles creative professionals through an assortment of social and educational events and discussion forums. We all know that L.A. can be a tough place to be a designer. Many of us are full time freelancers or are working in small departments at boutique agencies, and it's easy to feel like you're out there all on your own. KERNSPIRACY addresses this issue by creating forums for people to ask for advice, feedback and support from their creative peers. Looking for a feedback on your most recent identity project? Found a really juicy Sagmeister interview that you're dying to share? The KERNSPIRACY community is there to listen. KERNSPIRACY is a place for those of us who feel isolated from our peers in the creative community to connect with other people that are concerned with the same professional issues, on a day-to-day basis and without overbearing membership dues or expectation. KERNSPIRACY also hosts occasional get togethers where designers and other creatives can come out to meet one another and trade ideas and critiques. Bring a a project you need critiqued, a question you need answered on or just a business card and a willingness to meet people. At the very least, we can all have drinks together and complain about Quark. Details about the next event can always be found at kernspiracy.com
