The look of this invitation suite and related collateral for Los Angeles-based non-profit Hollywood Arts 1st Annual Dream Awards honoring video game composer Tommy Tallarico was inspired by Tallarico’s love for Spider-Man. The design makes heavy use of elements that resonate deeply with comic fans, such as the Comics Code Authority seal, and an illustration of Tallarico as Spider-Man featured prominently in cover designs of both the invite and tribute book. The invite itself was mailed in a plastic sleeve, recalling the acid-free bags used by comics fans to preserve their books.
